NUMSA CENTRAL COMMITTEE (CC) MEETS

The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA) is holding its Central Committee (CC) as from today Sunday 11 December 2011 -until- Wednesday 14 December 2011, Vincent Mabuyakhulu Conference Centre, Cnr Bree & Gerard Sekoto Streets, Newtown, Johannesburg, Gauteng province.

The CC will received detailed political, organizational and international reports from the National Secretariat.

This CC is very important because it will lay a solid foundation for NUMSA's ideological and political posture on key events that will be taking place in 2012, namely ANC's centennial, NUMSA's International Policy Conference on Nationalization & Worker Cooperatives, ANC's Policy Conference, COSATU's National Day of Action, World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) Presidential Council to held in South Africa and NUMSA's National Congress.

A post-CC Press Conference will be convened to announce the outcomes and it will be addressed by National Office Bearers(NOB), namely General Secretary IRVIN JIM, President CEDRIC GINA, Deputy General Secretary KARL CLOETE, 1st Deputy President PHIL BOKABA, 2nd Deputy President CHRISTENE OLIVIER, National Treasurer PHILLEMON SHIBURI.
